Joey is an assistant coach to the Texas State men’s golf program.

Joey and Cat have been married since 2016 and live in San Antonio, with Joey’s daughter, Bracken.

The couple started dating in college and broke up after graduation because Cat had to start her softball career and she had to leave town. They eventually came back together and got married.

Joey bagged his first degree from Concordia University in Austin, Texas, and proceeded for a master’s degree in educational administration.

Joey has coached high school golf for over 10 years.

As an assistant for the Texas Men’s Golf Team, he led MacArthur to a second-place finish in the Region IV-5A Tournament, and ultimately the District 26-5A championship.

That same year, he won the award of the San Antonio Express-News Golf Coach of the Year.
