Fedotov signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL on May 7, 2022, as a free agent.

Fedotov, 25, is regarded as one of the best goaltenders in the world outside of the NHL, and the Flyers expected him to compete for a spot on their roster next season.
