Who is Home Depot’s biggest competitor?

The Home Depot competitors include Ace Hardware, Hajoca Corporation, HHGregg, Walmart, and Huttig Building Products. The Home Depot ranks 1st in Overall Culture Score on Comparably vs its competitors.
The average Home Depot store has around 104,000 square feet of enclosed space with approximately 24,000 more square feet of outside garden area. Lowe’s averages around 112,000 square feet plus another 32,000 square feet dedicated to outdoor garden center space.
Employees are equipped with handheld devices that can order products for customers while they’re shopping in the store, for example. The company also offers — in addition to traditional delivery options from fulfillment centers — conveniences like buy-online, and pick-up-at-store.
Home Depot and Lowe’s averaged about the same with reviewers in terms of store atmosphere, with Home Depot reviews tending to be slightly better. However, Lowe’s does have the competitive advantage of larger stores (but the garden centers for plants at Lowe’s vs. Home Depot are generally equal).
