Governor Gavin Newsom and Nancy Pelosi have a lot in common as prominent Democrats with strong ties to San Francisco. There have been a lot of questions as to whether they are related as family members.

Well, Gov. Gavin Newson’s aunty, Barbra Newsom was once married to Ron Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law. Barbra Newson and Ron Pelosi divorced in 1977. This shows that they were related for some time due to the marriage between their families.

The two politicians have had far more occasions to cross paths in their political careers than they would have had at their family reunions. Newsom is serving his first term as the Governor of California and facing recall elections in 2021. Pelosi on the other hand is serving her 17th term in the House of Representatives and she is the speaker of the House for the second time.
