George Burns and Gracie Allen adopted Sandra Burns, who was born on July 28, 1934. Sandra was an actress and is known for her work on “The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show”.

After her kids were grown, she worked as a school counselor in the San Diego school system. Sandra had four daughters: Laura Wilhoite, Melissa Wilhoite, Grace Anne Luckman, and Brooke Luckman.

George Burns was an American comedian, actor, writer, and singer whose career successfully spanned vaudeville, radio, film, and television.  He is also known for his arched eyebrow and cigar-smoke punctuation.

George Burns also appeared in several films without Allen, including “The Sunshine Boys” (1975), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

George Burns is also a member of the Television Hall of Fame, where he and Gracie Allen were inducted in 1988. He is the subject of Rupert Holmes’s one-actor play Say Goodnight, Gracie.

George Burns continued to work in television throughout his career, including hosting “The George Burns Show” and “The George Burns Comedy Week”.
