Enrique Tarrio is a Cuban-American political activist and public figure who gained prominence as one of the leaders of the Proud Boys, a far-right organization.

Enrique Tarrio was born on March 31, 1984, in Miami, Florida, USA. He is of Cuban descent. Tarrio gained attention for his involvement in the Proud Boys, a self-described “western chauvinist” group founded by Vice Media co-founder Gavin McInnes in 2016.
The group has been criticized for its far-right ideologies and confrontational tactics. He was often seen at rallies, protests, and events associated with the group. The Proud Boys’ activities and actions have sparked controversy and led to clashes with counter-protesters and law enforcement in some instances.

Tarrio has had some encounters with the law. He was arrested in 2020 in Washington, D.C., for his involvement in the burning of a Black Lives Matter banner taken from a church during a demonstration. He was also found to be in possession of firearms and charged with related offenses.
In addition to his involvement with the Proud Boys, Tarrio has been engaged in various political activities and protests. He has expressed support for conservative and right-wing causes.
Tarrio, along with three other Proud Boys commanders, was convicted of seditious conspiracy on May 4, 2023, for his role in the 2021 United States Capitol attack.
