Drew Thomas Rasmussen was born on July 27, 1995, in Puyallup, Washington, United States of America. With regards to his education, Rasmussen attended Mt. Spokane High School in Mead, Washington before proceeding to the Oregon State University where he played college baseball for the Beavers.
Drew Rasmussen had been drafted 31st overall in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Tampa Bay Rays but did not sign. However, he was still drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the sixth round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He then played for the Milwaukee Brewers, for whom he made his MLB debut in 2020.
