D.J. Gasso is the University of Utah’s assistant softball coach. DJ Gasso ended his college career at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2018 as a senior, hitting.303 with a.395 on-base percentage and a.364 slugging average.

Gasso spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons at Bradley University before coming to UCO. Throughout two seasons, he hit.255 with a.311 slugging percentage and a.363 on-base percentage.
Gasso was also a 2016 MVC Honorable Mention Scholar-Athlete, a two-time MVC Honor Roll honoree, and a four-time Athletics Director’s Honor Roll honoree.

Gasso began his college career at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kan., where he split time at second base, third base, and shortstop.
Gasso earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Bradley in 2017 before pursuing postgraduate studies at UCO. He received his master’s degree in intercollegiate athletics management from the University of Oklahoma.
He is the son of Patty Gasso, Oklahoma’s head coach, and the brother of assistant coach JT Gasso.
