Who Is Daria Kasatkina’s Coach?

Carlos Martinez has been credited as Daria Kasatkina’s coach.

Carlos formerly coached Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Carlos has been a player on the men’s Tour and has worked with the likes of Svetlana Kuznetsova, Marc Lopez, Kateryna Kozlova and Feliciano Lopez.

Daria was only eleven years old, Maxim Prasolov began coaching her. She switched coaches to Damir Rishatovich Nurgaliev.

While at the Empire Tennis Academy in 2015, Daria worked with former Slovak professional tennis player Vladimír Pláteník.

In 2018, she hired Belgian Philippe Dehaes to be her new coach but eventually fired him in February 2019.

Dehaes once described Daria’s playing style as “change of rhythm, change of speed, change of trajectory.”

Her playing style constitutes of a variety of shots including heavy topspin forehands, one-handed slice backhands, kick serves, and drop shots.

Daria’s style has been lauded by significant players. She is referred to as “the Roger Federer of women’s tennis”, because of her unique style of play.
