California’s 31st Congressional District is represented by Pete Aguilar. The district is located in the Inland Empire area, which also includes parts of Rancho Cucamonga and the city of San Bernardino.

From 2010 to 2014, Peter held the offices of mayor of Redlands, California, and head of the League of California Cities Inland Empire Division. From 2006 until he was elected to Congress, Aguilar was a member of the Redlands City Council.
Aguilar is the highest-ranking Latino in Congress and vice-chair of the House Democratic Caucus.

During his term in Congress, Aguilar prioritized subjects such as immigration, job growth, trade agreements, gun control, national security, LGBT concerns, veteran affairs, drug prevention, student loan debt, and environmental preservation.
Aguilar has backed legislation to entice those working in cybersecurity to join the military, stop federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT people, provide money for homeless veterans, and fund research into opioid addiction.
