Cody Ackland is a musician who pleaded guilty to the murder of 18-year-old student Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

Cody is a songwriter and lead guitarist for the popular Plymouth rock band, Rakuda.
Cody Ackland, 24, entered the plea during a plea and trial preparation hearing at Plymouth Crown Court on Tuesday.

Ackland spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and admit murdering the teenager on a date between November 19 and 23, 2021.

He will be sentenced on May 19, when a judge will hand him a life sentence and confirm the minimum term he will serve.
The sentence is imprisonment for life.
Cody has picked up Bobbi-Anne from her from a bus stop as she travelled to see her boyfriend.
Bobbi-Anne had been on her way to meet Louie Leach, her boyfriend, when she disappeared at about 6pm. He was the first to raise the alarm when she failed to meet him.
Her body was discovered in woodland in Bovisand, Devon, three days after her disappearance.
