Debra Apostol even sang with him and Terry on his 2022 album, Me / And / Dad, on the track “I Heard My Mother Weeping”. She has a close bond with Billy and his fiancée, Ally Dale. Billy often dedicates songs to her, such as “John Deere Tractor”.

Billy Strings was born on October 3, 1992, in Lansing, Michigan, the United States of America. His melodies often carry a breezy quality, but there’s depth within the lyrics, especially evident in songs like “The Fire on My Tongue”.

Billy Strings’ professional journey began when Don Julin, a mandolin player, invited him to join a paying gig in 2012. The International Bluegrass Music Association awarded him with the Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year award in 2016.
