Michael Gargiulo allegedly struck Ellerin 47 times, brutally stabbing her to death. She was only 22 years old at the time of her death. She rose to fame after she sparked dating rumours with actor Ashton Kutcher. Ashley met Ashton Kutcher in December 2000 and they reportedly started a relationship in February 2021.

How Did Ashley Die
Ashley was stabbed 47 times in her apartment before Ashton Kutcher was meant to pick her up for a date. The Hollywood actor was going to be taking her to a post-Grammy party.

It was feared Ashley had a stalker after the alleged killer had started showing up at her apartment unannounced offering to fix things around the house. She met the then 24 years old, Michael Gargiulo, when she went to get her flat tyre fixed.
Michael Gargiulo, nicknamed Hollywood Ripper, has been sentenced to death for murdering two women, including Ashton’s then-girlfriend.
