He was born on 31 October 2002 in Guinea-Bissau to Bori Fati and Lurdes Fati.

Ansu’s father Bori is an ex-footballer, who was born in Guinea-Bissau and emigrated to Portugal, where he played for some teams in the lower leagues.

After his time in Portugal, Bori moved to Marinaleda, a small town located near Seville that was offering work to immigrants.

After struggling to in Marinaleda to make ends meet, Bori’s life took a positive turn around after he met Mayor Juan Manuel Sánchez Gordillo, who offered him a job as his driver.

It was through the driving job that he was able to relocate the family from Guinea-Bissau to Spain.
