Nigel Sears is the father in law of British tennis star Andy Murray.

Murray began dating Nigel Sears’ daughter Kim Sears in 2005.
Murray announced his engagement to Kim in November 2014, and they eventually got married on 11 April 2015 at Dunblane Cathedral in Murray’s home town. The wedding reception was held at Murray’s Cromlix House Hotel.
Murray and Kim live in Oxshott, Surrey with their son and three daughters; the youngest of the girls was born in March 2021.
Who is Nigel Sears?
Nigel is a British tennis coach, best known for coaching former top five players Amanda Coetzer, Daniela Hantuchová and Ana Ivanovic.
Nigel Sears started coaching Slovakia’s Daniela Hantuchová in 2001 and under his tutelage, Hantuchová reached the world’s top ten, won the Indian Wells tournament in California (though that would be her only career title until exactly five years later).

Hantuchová also reached three consecutive Grand Slam quarter-finals between the 2002 Wimbledon Championships and the 2003 Australian Open (losing twice to Serena Williams and once to Venus Williams respectively).
After his coaching deals with Daniela Hantuchová, Amanda Coetzer and Ana Ivanovic came to an end, Nigel began working with Ekaterina Makarova in the summer of 2017.
In June 2018, Nigel began coaching the Estonian player Anett Kontaveit but that arrangement came to an end in April 2021.
Nigel was also a regular commentator for BT Sport, who used to cover the WTA in the UK.
