Andrew James Whitworth was born December 12, 1981, in Monroe, Louisiana. He attended West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana, where he played high school football for the Rebels and graduated in 2001.

Andrew Whitworth was a part of two Louisiana Class 5A State Championship teams in 1998 and 2000. He was a tennis champion in Louisiana and was also an excellent golfer. Andrew Whitworth participated in the first-ever U.S. Army All-American Bowl game on December 30, 2000.

Andrew Whitworth played college football at LSU and was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has been named a First-Team All-Pro twice (2015 and 2017) during his career.

Andrew Whitworth is married to his longtime partner Melissa Whitworth. Melissa Whitworth was born Melissa Elise Clark on April 29, 1980, in Ruston, Louisiana to parents, Cindy Cooley Clark and Michael Earl Clark.

Melissa Whitworth attended Ruston High School and later graduated in 2003 with a bachelors degree in sociology and a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech.

Melissa Whitworth won the 2003 Miss Louisiana pageant and before that, she was Miss Teen Louisiana 1998. She later served as an award-winning journalist for the north Louisiana area and had also won the mirrored ball in 2016 in Cincinnati’s own version of dancing with the stars.

Melissa Whitworth was a Contestant at National Sweetheart 2000 and previously National Sweetheart 2001. Melissa Whitworth  tied the knot with Andrew in 2006 and together they have four children; twins Drew and Sarah Bearah born in February 2011, Michael Lee born in 2013 as well as Katherine Kay born in October 2014

Melissa Whitworth as an award-winning journalist has worked for NBC10/Fox14 News in Monroe, Louisiana. She and Andrew founded the Big Whit 77 Foundation in 2009.
