A state grand jury returned four indictments charging Alex Murdaugh with 21 counts of breach of trust with fraudulent intent and six counts of computer crimes.
The indictments claim that Alex Murdaugh stole more than $2.6 million from clients Natarsha Thomas, Arthur Badger, Deon Martin, and the family of Hakeem Pinckney.
In furtherance, the indictments reveal that three of the clients (Natarsha Thomas, Arthur Badger and the family of Hakeem Pinckney), sought Alex Murdaugh’s help for injuries sustained in car crashes. However, the documents do not state why Deon Martin hired Alex Murdaugh.

The embattled lawyer Alex Murdaugh was previously indicted in November and December 2021 by a South Carolina grand jury for 48 counts including breach of trust with fraudulent intent, forgery, money laundering, computer crimes, and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Alex Murdaugh was also previously served with two Beaufort County arrest warrants for obtaining goods by false pretenses.
Alex Murdaugh also faces charges in Colleton County for allegedly engaging a hitman to kill him in order to enable his son, Buster cash in on his $10 million life insurance policy.
