Alex Bulkley is an American animation producer and film director best known as the co-founder of the animation studio ShadowMachine.

Alex Bulkley grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bulkley has served as a producer on ShadowMachine’s projects, beginning in 2005 with Robot Chicken and Moral Orel.
Alex Bulkley directed a psychological thriller, The Zodiac (2005), which he co-wrote with his brother Kelly.

Alex Bulkley received two nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for the BoJack Horseman episodes “Free Churro” and “The View from Halfway Down”.
For being a producer on Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (2022), Alex Bulkley was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and won the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film.
Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico built ShadowMachine in 1999, and it is now an Emmy Award-winning production house and animation studio.
