Who has the fastest F1 car 2022?

Red Bull driver Sergio Perez has clocked the fastest time on the final morning of 2022 Formula 1 pre-season testing in Bahrain.

Perez set a lap of 1m33.105s on Pirelli’s soft C4 tyres, comfortably maintaining first place until the lunchtime interval.

Alfa Romeo rookie Guanyu Zhou finished second on the same track, eight tenths slower than Perez, with AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly third, 1.7 seconds slower.

In a four-hour morning session characterized by long runs, F1 2022’s ten teams made the most of their final day of testing ahead of next weekend’s season opener in Sakhir.

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll were among the first drivers to go to the track as it reopened to all teams at 10 a.m. local time after Kevin Magnussen and Haas had a single hour of extra running.

Perez set a lap of 1m33.105s on Pirelli’s soft C4 tyres, comfortably maintaining first place until the noon break.

Despite a rush of activity, Perez did not produce a legitimately fast time on pace with the rest of the Bahrain test until the halfway point.
