Raskin protested the certification of Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 presidential election as one of his first acts in Congress because of Trump’s claimed ties to Russia, the country’s meddling in the election, and voter suppression tactics.
Raskin taught constitutional law at the American University Washington College of Law before being elected to Congress, where he also co-founded the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project and the LL.M. programme on law and governance.
