Susan Jameson played the role of Myra Booth, wife of Jerry on Coronation Street from 1963 to 1964, returning for several episodes in 1968.

The Booths had only been married for seven months when they had to give up their home due to Myra’s excessive use of Hire Purchase. When Myra became pregnant, her father, George Dickinson, helped them out and took them in.

Their daughter was born in late 1964, but she passed away after only a few weeks. Myra and Jerry’s relationship was irreversibly damaged, and Jerry soon left Myra.

Susan I. M. Jameson is an actress from England. She is best known for two roles: voicing Mrs Wibbsey opposite Tom Baker in a series of Doctor Who audio dramas and portraying Esther Lane in the BBC crime drama series New Tricks from 2003 to 2013.

She is married to fellow actor James Bolam, with whom she has appeared in numerous television episodes from a variety of series, including New Tricks, Heartbeat, When The Boat Comes In, and Grandpa in My Pocket.
