Who Was Eddie Guerrero?
Eduardo Guerrero was a professional wrestler who hailed from a family of wrestlers.
His father, Gory Guerrero, was “a first-generation wrestler and one of the greatest and most influential wrestlers of all time.”

Guerrero fought under several wrestling promotions in Mexico, Japan, and United States, including Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/WWE).

As of 2004, he was a top wrestler on the SmackDown brand. He had also won the WWF European Championship and WWF Intercontinental Championship before he rehired.
Guerrero passed away on November 13, 2005, at the age of 38, following an acute heart failure.
Outside the ring, Guerrero battled substance abuse problems, including alcoholism.
After his death, Guerrero was “posthumously inducted into the WWE, AAA, Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Hardcore halls of fame.”
