Zhou is conscious and has been transported to the Silverstone medical facility for more testing.
Zhou, who had lined up a tenth, was knocked over as he approached the first Abbey curve and catapulted through the gravel trap in the direction of the barriers.

Medical personnel was on the scene promptly to respond to Zhou, but there was no immediate word on his health.

Contact between George Russell and Pierre Gasly on the start-off runaway caused the accident.
Zhou was struck by the Mercedes as it spun to the left. Zhou then lost control of the vehicle and slid down its halo all the way to the catch netting.
Later, with his left rear tire coming off the wheel, Russell came to a stop at the first bend.
A separate collision occurred farther back when Sebastian Vettel’s Aston Martin struck the Williams of Alex Albon from behind, causing the Williams to be thrown directly into the pit wall.
Yuki Tsunoda and Esteban Ocon got caught up in the chaos when Albon’s damaged car spun to the outside and was hit by further vehicles.
