The United Kingdom had 2nd place at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, and Ukraine took the ultimate win, with 631 points following a powerful performance of their song, Stefania.

The U.K had 439 votes with Sam Ryder topping the jury vote.
This is the UK’s best result in 20 years as the country’s representative, Sam Ryder has “reframed” the UK’s Eurovision image with an enthusiastic performance of his song Space Man.

The finale opened with an enthusiastic presentation highlighting strobe lighting and projections of the figure of David by Michelangelo from Czech Republic’s We Are Domi singing Lights Off.
Eurovision has been a yearly event since 1956, coordinated by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), and featuring participants from European nations.
Each participating country presents an original song to be performed on live TV and radio, sent to public telecasters by means of the EBU’s Eurovision and Euroradio organizations, with competing countries then projecting votes in favor of the other nations’ to decide a winner.
