Who attacked Dave Chappelle?

Isaiah Lee attacked Dave Chappelle on stage during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 3 night.

Isaiah Lee can be seen running onto the stage before tackling Chappelle on stage as security officers race to intervene in a video posted on social media.

The incident was confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department. The man was armed with a replica gun that could eject a real knife blade if discharged correctly. It’s unclear whether he tried to use the weapon.

According to an LAPD spokesperson, the suspect, Isaiah Lee, 23, has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon. The bail for Lee has been set at $30,000.

According to police, security guards hired for the show intervened and pulled the suspect away from the comedian before detaining him. Lee was taken to the hospital after suffering superficial injuries during the altercation.
