Rob Tyner, the vibrant vocalist, bid farewell in 1991, followed by guitarist Fred “Sonic” Smith in 1994, and bassist Michael Davis in 2012. Dennis “Machine Gun” Thompson, the drummer and last surviving member, lent his beats to an upcoming MC5 album before his death.
