Matthew Jared Rhoden is an American college basketball player for the Seton Hall Pirates of the Big East Conference.

Rhoden played basketball for Baldwin Senior High School in Baldwin, New York. As a junior, he averaged 19.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He led his team to the Long Island AA championship and was named Nassau County Player of the Year.

He later attended Our Savior Lutheran High School in New York City’s the Bronx.

Rhoden underwent shoulder surgery before his freshman season at Seton Hall.

On December 23, 2020, Rhoden posted a season-high 26 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists in a 78–67 win against Georgetown.

In 2021, Rhoden was team captain, named to the Big East Championship All-Tournament team, and 3x Big East honor roll player.

In 2022, he was named on the Jerry West Preseason Watch List and Big East Player of the Year Watch List.
