Naomi Judd, the other half of the Judds passed away. Naomi Judd died one day before she was to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on April 30, 2022. She was 76 years old at the time.

Wynonna and Ashley Judd, her daughters, confirmed her death in a statement.
“Today was a tragic day for our sisters. The statement said, “We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness.” “We’ve been shattered.” We’re dealing with a lot of grief right now, but we know that as much as we loved her, so did the rest of the world. “We’re in uncharted territory.”

The cause of death was not disclosed.

The Judds comprised of mother-daughter duo Naomi and Wynonna are known for a rare stretch of 14 number one hits when every single one released by RCA landed in the Billboard Top 10 over three decades, selling more than 20 million albums.
