If you are a fan of U2, you might have wondered where the iconic photo of the band with a lone Joshua tree was taken. The answer is not in Joshua Tree National Park, but somewhere along Highway 190 near Death Valley National Park.

The band was exploring the desert landscapes of California when they spotted the tree and decided to take some pictures with it. Unfortunately, the tree died and fell over in 2000, but you can still visit the site and see the remains of the famous Joshua tree.
