Where was Steven Spielberg rejected from?

Steven Spielberg is an American motion-picture director and producer. Steven Spielberg was rejected three times by the University of Southern California School of Theatre, Film, and Television.

He then applied to and was accepted into the Theta Chi Fraternity at California State University, Long Beach.

In 1968, Universal gave Spielberg the opportunity to write and direct Amblin’, a 26-minute, 35-mm short film for theatrical release. Sidney Sheinberg, studio vice president, was impressed by the award-winning film and offered Spielberg a seven-year directing contract.

He dropped out of college a year later to begin directing television productions for Universal. He became the youngest director to sign a long-term contract with a major Hollywood studio.

In 2002, Spielberg returned to Long Beach to finish his Bachelor of Arts in Film and Electronic Media.
