Elizabeth Glinka is a BBC Midlands Daily and Sunday Politics reporter. Elizabeth was born and raised in Staffordshire, where she attended school before going on to study politics at the University of Exeter.

She spent a year in France before moving on to ITV and joining BBC Radio 4’s factual unit in 2003. She worked on a variety of projects, including Farming Today, and is still more knowledgeable about the Common Agricultural Policy than is strictly necessary.

Elizabeth became a researcher on BBC Radio 5 live’s late-night Stephen Nolan show after helping to launch a new series of documentaries for the BBC Asian Network, which included an award-winning investigation into honour violence.
She decided she wanted to be a reporter during this time and took a career break to pursue a postgraduate degree in journalism.
Elizabeth spent 2015 as a BBC news correspondent in London, reporting on a variety of stories, including the Hatton Garden jewellery heist, across TV and radio.
