Randy Weaver lost his wife and his son when deputies of the United States Marshal Service initiated action to arrest Randy after he fails to appear on firearms charges.

Harris and Randy Weavers were arrested, and Weaver’s three daughters went to live with their mother’s family in Iowa. Randy was acquitted of all charges. The surviving members of the Weaver family filed a wrongful-death lawsuit.
