Initially gaining popularity in 2015, 8 Passengers showcased Franke’s family life with husband Kevin and their six children, accumulating nearly 1 billion views.
However, concerns arose in 2020 about Franke’s disciplinary methods, including allegations of withholding food and sending a child to a wilderness camp.
Amidst growing scrutiny, the Franke family defended their actions, attributing misunderstandings to taken-out-of-context incidents.
The 8 Passengers YouTube channel witnessed a decline in popularity in 2021, and in 2022, the couple separated.
Ruby Franke deleted the channel, and began working working as a mental health coach at ConneXions.
