Max Dorian Fried is a Major League Baseball pitcher. Fried made his major league debut in 2017 after being drafted in the first round, seventh overall, by the San Diego Padres in 2012.

His 17 wins in 2019 ranked second in the National League, and his seven wins in 2020 ranked second again.
Fried pitched six scoreless innings in Game 7 of the 2021 World Series against the Houston Astros, guiding the Braves to their first World Series title in 26 years.
In 2021, he won the Gold Glove Award again, as well as the Silver Slugger Award for pitchers, becoming only the third pitcher in MLB history to do so. During those two years, he was also named to the All-MLB Team.
