Jeffrey Adam Rosen is an American lawyer who served as acting US Attorney General from December 2020 to January 2021 and as US Deputy Attorney General from 2019 to 2020. He was a senior lawyer at the legal firm Kirkland & Ellis and the United States deputy secretary of transportation before joining the Department of Justice.

In 2009, Rosen rejoined Kirkland & Ellis. Rosen led the American Bar Association’s Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice from 2015 to 2016.
Rosen was confirmed as the United States Deputy Secretary of Transportation by a vote of 56–42 on May 16, 2017. He worked under Secretary Elaine Chao there.

During his tenure, he led the DOT’s New and Emerging Technologies Council (NETT), which Elaine Chao established, and he served on the FAA’s Management Advisory Council.
Rosen also assisted in leading the Department of Transportation’s efforts to safely enable the use of drones in the skies, including the FAA’s drone pilot programme.
