Where Is Gary Puckett Now?

Gary Puckett currently resides in Clearwater, FL with his wife and family.

Since 1990, Puckett has been a Born Again Christian, after having followed the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for many years. While meditating in 1985, Puckett said he heard the Lord tell him there was a better path to follow.

Puckett prays before taking the stage but does not see himself as a preacher or use the concert stage to proselytize. He is also a licensed minister.

Puckett is best remembered for being the lead vocalist for Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, who had six consecutive gold records in 1968, including Lady Willpower, Young Girl, Woman Woman and Over You.

After the Union Gap split, Puckett released a solo album titled The Gary Puckett Album that same year. After the release of his 1971 album, Puckett’s contract was terminated.
