Cadeau began his high school career at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, where he played for the school basketball team.

As a freshman, he was the team’s starting point guard averaging 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game and leading his team to a 7–2 record.
