Where is Dr. Drew filmed? – Drew is a reality television show that aired on the cable network VH1 in which many of the episodes follow a group of well-known people as they are treated for alcohol and drug addiction at the Pasadena Recovery Center in Pasadena, California by Dr. Drew Pinsky and his colleagues.

The first five seasons of the series, for which Pinsky also acts as executive producer, included celebrities dealing with addiction, with the first season launching on January 10, 2008, and the fifth in 2011.

The sixth season, which premiered in early 2012, featured non-celebrities as treatment subjects, and the show’s title was simplified to Rehab with Dr. Drew. The sixth season premiered on September 16, 2012.

In May 2013, Pinsky announced that season six was the final season, explaining that he had grown weary of the criticism leveled at him after celebrities that he treated had relapsed into addiction and died.

Despite his decision not to continue the series, Pinsky stated that a number of people achieved sobriety as a result of Celebrity Rehab who would not have achieved it otherwise, and cites Sizemore as the biggest success story, who struggled with Pinsky’s program for 10 years before finally achieving sobriety after being on the show.

Drew graduated from Polytechnic School in 1976 and went on to study biology at Amherst College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1980.

He subsequently attended the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, where he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1984.

He completed his internal medicine residency at USC County Hospital before becoming head resident at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. He eventually went into private practice.
