Where is Danny Jones from?

Danny Jones is an English singer-songwriter and musician who is one of McFly’s lead vocalists and lead guitarist.

Danny Jones was born and raised in Bolton, Greater Manchester, where his mother owns a hairdressing salon.

He attended Thornleigh Salesian College and, for a short time, Haberdashers’ Boys’ School.  Jones studied music at Bury College, where he earned a BTEC National Diploma.

All five of McFly’s studio albums were co-written by him. He also wrote three solo tracks for the first three McFly albums.

He has also produced tracks for McFly and other artists, such as “Only The Strong Survive” from McFly’s fourth studio album “Radio: ACTIVE” and his band’s cover of Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”

Jones wrote “Don’t Forget Where You Belong” for One Direction’s third album Midnight Memories and produced a bonus track on their second album Take Me Home.

He was in the starting XI for Old Habs when they won the Gareth Dineen Trophy in June 2021.
