Breel Donald Embolo is a footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Monaco and the Switzerland national team.

Embolo is originally from Cameroon. He was born in Yaounde, the nation’s capital on 14th Feb. 1997.
He didn’t spend much of his childhood in Cameroon.
He moved with his family to France at a very young age before finally settling in Switzerland.
Embolo’s parents separated when he about five or six years old.

After his parents separated, his mother moved to France to attend school.

It whas whilst there that she met her future husband, a Swiss national.
Embolo received Swiss citizenship on 12 December 2014, earning his senior international debut in March 2015.
Since making his debut, Embolo has represented Switzerland at UEFA Euro 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
On November 24, 2022, Embolo scored his first goal in a World Cup for Switzerland.
He scored the only goal of the game against Camerron, the country of his birth in a keenly contested game.
