The Cuban professional baseball utility player Aledmys Díaz is currently a free agent.

He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros.

Between 2007 and 2012, Diaz played for the Naranjas de Villa Clara in the Cuban National Series before defecting to the United States.

Aledmys Díaz made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2016.

As a rookie in MLB, Díaz emerged as the first player in history to sustain a .500 batting average after 50 at-bats and was named an All-Star for the National League team.

After losing his starting shortstop position in 2017, he spent the 2018 season with Toronto and was traded to Houston before the 2019 season.

Aledmys Diaz has played 7 seasons for the Astros, Cardinals and Blue Jays. He has a .266 batting average, 527 hits, 74 home runs, 269 RBIs and 264 runs scored. He won the 2022 World Series with the Astros.
