John Christopher Depp II, professionally known as Johnny Depp was born on June 9, 1963, in  Owensboro, Kentucky, the United States as the youngest of four children born to his parents Betty Sue Palmer Wells and John Christopher Depp.

Johnny Depp’s mother Betty worked as a waitress while his father John was a civil engineer  Christopher Depp. He was raised alongside his siblings Daniel Depp, Christi Dembrowski, and Debbie Depp.

Johnny Depp made his debut in the horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a major breakthrough following his exceptional performance as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Walt Disney swashbuckler film series Pirates of the Caribbean (2003–present).

Johnny Depp has also starred in Edward Scissorhands (1990), Ed Wood (1994), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Finding Neverland (2004), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Corpse Bride (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), Alice in Wonderland (2010), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). He was named by the Guinness World Records as the world’s highest-paid actor in 2012.

Johnny Depp is residing in his home in Los Angeles’s Hollywood Hills, which is an abstract amalgamation of five mansions. His properties also include a collection of penthouses in downtown Los Angeles, a 45-acre private island in the Bahamas, and a horse farm in Kentucky that he purchased twice.
