At Torrey Pines, the pros play at the Torrey Pines Golf Course’s South Course. The Torrey Pines South Course is the more challenging of the two and is the host of the 2008 & 2021 U.S. Open Championships.

Torrey Pines Golf Course’s South Course was redesigned in 2001 by Rees Jones in preparation for the 2008 U.S. Open. It is now 7,698 yards with a par of 72.

Torrey Pines South Course includes a 223-yard par 3, 515-yard par 4, and 612-yard par 5, and played to a par of 71. It is considered one of the best public golf courses in the United States.
The North and South courses are both 18-hole layouts that were designed by William F. Bell, and the South course is home to the annual Farmers Insurance Open, a PGA Tour event.
More than 80,000 rounds annually are played on the North Course alone, while the South receives 60,000. Torrey Pines is a municipal facility and has two courses, the North and the South.
