John Michael Gaudreau is a free agent American professional ice hockey winger. From 2011 to 2014, he was a member of the NCAA Division I Boston College Eagles.

Gaudreau was born in Salem, New Jersey, but raised in Carney’s Point. Gaudreau played little league baseball for Penns Grove and participated in the 2006 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Gaudreau went to Gloucester Catholic High School in Gloucester City, New Jersey, which is located just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia.

Johnny Gaudreau graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in Dubuque, Iowa. The Flames selected Gaudreau in the fourth round, 104th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
In his first full NHL season in 2014-15, he was selected to play in the 2015 NHL All-Star Game and was a Calder Memorial Trophy finalist for the NHL’s best rookie.
For the 2016-17 season, he received the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s most gentlemanly player.
