His standout performances on the college football stage caught the attention of the San Francisco 49ers, who would later draft him in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Since joining the 49ers, Greenlaw has been a linchpin of the team’s defense. In the 2022 season, he reached new heights, amassing a career-high 127 tackles, six pass deflections, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, an interception, and a defensive touchdown in 15 games and starts.
These stellar contributions played a crucial role in the 49ers’ success, finishing atop the NFC West with a 13–4 record and securing a playoff berth.
