On January 22, 1966, in Jefferson City, Tennessee, the United States, Carolyn Arlene Peck was given the name Carolyn Peck. Before becoming a sportscaster, the attractive journalist had played collegiate basketball and then turned it into a coaching career.

In 1991, Carolyn spent a month competing as a professional basketball player in Italy. After winning a league championship during her two years of play for Japan’s Nippondenso Corporation, she retired from professional playing.

She spent two years as Pat Summits’ assistant coach in Tennessee before moving on to work as a coach at the Universities of Kentucky and Purdue from 1995 to 1996 and 1996 to 1997, respectively.

Where did Carolyn Peck coach at?

Peck coached at Purdue from 1997 to 1999. She also served as general manager of the WNBA’s Orlando Miracle and was head coach at the University of Florida from 2002 to 2007. From 1984 to 1988, Peck was a standout for the Commodores and is one of Vanderbilt’s all-time leaders in a number of different categories.

Is Carolyn Peck in the Hall of Fame?

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame has inducted Peck as the third former Boilermaker coach.
