The Colorado Buffaloes have hired Shilo Sanders as a player. Shilo Sanders, a Jackson State transfer and the son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, made his decision to join the Buffaloes official on Saturday night by posting a YouTube video.

Shilo spent his first two seasons of his college athletic career with the Gamecocks at South Carolina. He participated in nine games in 2020 after playing four in 2019. A pass breakup and 32 tackles were both part of his 2020 stats.

Both of Coach Sanders’ sons were anticipated to join him at CU when he was hired in December. Shilo had to wait until after he received his Jackson State diploma this spring, while quarterback Shedeur Sanders transferred to CU in January. Shilo had already made a transfer before.
