Morgan Bauer relocated from Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Georgia in February 2016 to begin a new life. However, she unexpectedly vanished two weeks later.

She had planned to live with someone she found on Craigslist before to her departure, but the arrangement didn’t work out, so she took a job as a dancer at a local club and was sleeping at several motels in the Atlanta region to make ends meet, according to the New York Post.

Police initially believed she went missing on February 25, 2016, after finishing a shift, but after more than five years, they discovered she was last seen wandering in Porterdale Yellow River Park a day later.

Has Morgan Bauer Been found?

As of this writing, Morgan Bauer has not been found. However, new evidence discovered in 2023 may shed insight on what occurred.

The FBI and local police re-launched their search for her in July 2023. They were seen searching a residence in Georgia, less than a mile from the park where she was last seen.

During a press briefing, officials confirmed that they were searching for Bauer’s remains and revealed that they had retrieved “items of evidentiary interest,” but they did not provide any additional details.
