When did Jesus rise from the dead?

Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday, is a particularly important time of year for Christians because it is when they believe Jesus was raised from the dead, three days after his crucifixion.

It is said that Jesus died in 30 A.D. after being arrested, tried, and found guilty of claiming to be king. He died on Good Friday, after spending approximately six hours on the cross.

Jesus’ body was deposited in his tomb after his death, with a big stone blocking the entrance. Soldiers also stood guard over his sealed grave.

On the third day, which we call Easter Sunday which is also known as Resurrection Sunday, Jesus was resurrected.
This was discovered when several women, including Mary Magdalene, went to anoint Jesus’ body at the tomb on Sunday.

At the open tomb, they were greeted by an angel who asked them, “Why seek ye the living among the dead?” He is not present, but has risen.”

The resurrection is a crucial event in the Christian faith because without it, many of the Christian church’s doctrines would be false.
