Eddie George is a retired American football player who won the Heisman Trophy in 1995.

George attended Ohio State and made an immediate impact on the field as a freshman in 1992, rushing for 176 yards and five touchdowns.
As a sophomore, he had only 223 yards and three touchdowns, but as a junior in 1994, he had 1,442 yards and 12 touchdowns.
George rushed for over 100 yards in 11 straight games as a senior, averaging 152.2 yards per game and scoring 23 touchdowns after gaining 99 yards in the Kickoff Classic against Boston College.
He rushed for 1,826 yards and 23 touchdowns as the Buckeyes went 11-1 and finished fourth in the country.

He defeated a strong field that included Tommie Frazier and future Heisman winner Danny Wuerffel to win the Heisman Trophy.
George graduated from Ohio State second in career rushing yards (3,768) and third in rushing touchdowns (44).
He finished with 4,284 total yards, 45 touchdowns, and a 5.5-yard per-carry average. In 2011, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection with the Oilers and was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
